Guitar gods are ten a penny on the English folk scene. Go to any festival or folk club and you’re almost guaranteed to trip over one.
Banjo gods, on the other hand, are much rarer beasts. And believe me, Dan Walsh is a banjo god. And he sings. And writes excellent songs.
And he’s playing Singing Together in June.
Because banjo gods run on a slightly different calendar which means he’s in the US on the actual first Thursday of the month, we’re going to be upstairs in the (very lovely) concert room at Doncaster Brewery & Tap rather than down in the bar.
